Regulation 767/2009 establishes harmonized EU rules for feed placing on market and use, including provisions on feed materials (including bio-based/organic materials), additives, and contaminant limits; advances circular economy by enabling use of processed organic/agricultural by-products and waste-derived materials in animal feed within safety/quality standards, supporting biological-cycle nutrient cycling and agricultural waste valorization.
