Shanxi Province solid waste pollution prevention regulation (enacted 31 March 2021) establishes comprehensive waste management framework including industrial waste utilization incentives, hazardous waste stewardship, medical waste collection systems, and encourages resource recovery and circular use of industrial byproducts (tailings, coal gangue, fly ash, etc.), advancing circular economy and waste diversion goals.
