Deconstruction & Construction Materials Management Ordinance (PAMC 5.24)

Ends demolition for whole-structure removals, residential and commercial: projects must complete a salvage survey designating materials for reuse, deconstruct the structure, and source-separate materials into separate containers. Effective July 1, 2020; local C&D diversion requirement is 80%, above the CALGreen 65% baseline. Builds on Palo Alto's 2015 residential deconstruction-survey requirement.
