Applies toNot specified in this measure; this standard governs recovery, storage, removal, and processing methods and facilities for waste containers, not producer obligations directly.

Obligations under this law
  • ·Recovered and classified waste containers must be stored separately by type, with Chinese-language labels indicating the type at conspicuous locations.
  • ·Storage height must not exceed 5 meters; height difference between adjacent stacks must not exceed 1.5 meters; compressed-brick storage areas must have separation walkways of at least 1 meter.

No designated program action is recorded for this measure yet — treat the above as the general obligation and verify against the source text.

Taiwan standard establishes mandatory collection, storage, transport, and processing methods for waste containers under the Waste Disposal Act § 15, with producer/handler obligations for recovery and resource recovery; prohibits direct incineration/landfill of collected containers except under specified conditions, advancing container EPR and circular material recovery.
Covered Products
  • ·Waste containers (廢容器) announced as subject to recovery under Article 15(2) of the Waste Disposal Act, including pesticide waste containers (農藥廢容器) and special-environment-use pesticide waste containers (特殊環境用藥廢容器)

  • ·When processing facilities cease operation for more than 6 months or processing capacity falls below one-half of the previous year's output, recovered containers may be sent to designated municipal incinerators without the usual prohibition on incineration.
Key Deadlines
—compliance: Operators already engaged in recovery/processing before the amendment of this standard must complete improvements to comply with amended provisions within 6 months of the amendment's promulgation date.
Producer Definition
Not specified in this measure; this standard governs recovery, storage, removal, and processing methods and facilities for waste containers, not producer obligations directly.
Fee Structure
Unknown: This standard does not specify fee structures; it references the Resource Recycling Management Fund subsidy application process under Article 18(5) of the Waste Disposal Act but does not set fee amounts or structures.
Enforcement
Central competent authority (中央主管機關) under the Waste Disposal Act: Penalties are not specified in this standard; the standard references the Waste Disposal Act for underlying authority. During the 6-month improvement period after amendment, operators are exempt from penalties.
Preemption Notes
This is a national-level standard under Taiwan's Waste Disposal Act. Where this standard does not specify requirements, other applicable laws and regulations apply.
